UUS: Trimble GeoExplorer 6000-seeria GeoXR Network Rover

The new rugged Trimble GeoExplorer GeoXR Network Rover is a purpose-built complete solution designed to make both high-accuracy surveying and handheld point measurement easier, more efficient, and more flexible. The Trimble^® GeoXR Network Rover adds a new aspect to GNSS surveying productivity by combining the functionality for high-accuracy field work with the flexibility and convenience of handheld positioning in one device.The Trimble GeoXR can be used mounted on a survey rod with an external antenna for survey-grade accuracy and when connected to Trimble VRS™ it serves as an advanced and highly productive Network Rover. Then, detached from the rod and seamlessly switched to the integrated antenna, it becomes a solution for handheld point measurement with easy access to features such as the integrated camera.

For GIS users, the Trimble GeoXH will also be offered in a centimeter-accurate configuration. With the Trimble GeoXH centimeter option, users can collect data in the field using Trimble TerraSync software for streamlined connections within a GIS workflow. This handheld is available off the shelf or as a field upgrade from the standard product.

Trimble S6 Robotic Total Stations are now available with Trimble VISION. Trimble VISION enables you to:

• See everything the instrument sees.
• Direct your work thru live video images on the controller: Now you are free to capture measurements to prism or reflectorless surfaces with point and click efficiency.

The calibrated camera allows users to easily integrate images into their survey workflows. Photo documentation also allows surveyors to complement the data they provide to clients with images of the job conditions and point attributes, making the data easier to understand.

With the introduction of Trimble VISION into the Trimble S6 family, the following instrument models are now available.

Trimble S8 Total Stations are now available with DR Plus™ EDM and Long Range FineLock™ combinations.  

Trimble DR Plus EDM technology provides Direct Reflex measurements without a prism at exceptionally long  ranges; Trimble Long Range FineLock detects targets at distances of up to 2500 m without interference from surrounding prisms. The new models are targeted at high precision applications such as deformation monitoring, mining, or tunneling applications, where users also need DR measurement capability to difficult surfaces or at longer ranges.

Note: With the release of the Trimble S6 Total Station with Trimble VISION, the Trimble S8 Total Station 2" DR Plus instrument will be replaced with a 1" angle accuracy version. Trimble FineLock technology is also available  as an option on this new model.

The power of Trimble Access Field Software is now available on the Trimble M3 Mechanical Total Stations. Lightweight, compact and rugged, the Trimble M3 Total Station delivers powerful mechanical technology, backed by Trimble's world-class training, service and support network.  Trimble Access software offers survey teams a new approach to surveying that expedites data collection, processing, analysis, and delivery through improved workflows, collaboration and control.

Trimble Access on the Trimble M3 allows you to optionally add the Trimble Access Roads module.  Trimble Access Roads module imports road definitions from many third-party sources, or you can key in a complete road definition that includes horizontal and vertical alignments, templates and superelevation, and widening records. Users are guided through fast offsets, slope staking, real-time redesign, and real-time quality control.

Additionally, the Trimble M3 Total Station with Trimble Access will also now be offered in a 1” angle accuracy version for precision surveying applications.

Trimble Business Center 2.60 is now available. Users who currently run Trimble Business Center 2.5 can update to version 2.60 by running "Check for Updates" from the start page. Otherwise, users can download the complete version from Trimble.com here.

Note: A user’s warranty must be valid on September 1, 2011, to access the licensed features.

New capabilities in Trimble Business Center 2.60 include:

1. Document stakeout surveys: Import as-staked points from Trimble Access, review the results, create stakeout reports, and archive all of the information for future needs.
2. Describe surveyed points: Import Description 1 and 2 fields from Trimble Access and include the new fields in exports.
3. Integrate with GPSeismic: Export points measured with RTK or postprocessed GNSS to GPSeismic with a fixed format.
4. Enhance your job site visibility with Trimble VISION: 'Station View' replaces 'Image View' and includes new navigation tools to easily visualize your job site through the "eyes" of instruments equipped with Trimble VISION.
5. Improve your efficiency: Process baselines faster by taking advantage of multi-core CPU’s.
6. Create exports with more information: Export feature attributes using custom export formats.

The new Trimble Infrastructure Apps have enhanced their functionality and offer new features. The main changes are:

• New ionosphere model in the network processor
