  • Trimble R-Track with Signal Prediction™, which compensates for intermittent or marginal RTK correction signals, enabling extended precision operations after an RTK signal is interrupted
  • New CMRx protocol, which maximizes compression of RTK corrections, so all of the satellites and signals in view can be included in the calculation
  • The new Maxwell 6 chip with more memory and 220 channels

Flexible System Design

The Trimble R8 GNSS receiver combines the most comprehensive feature set into an integrated and flexible system for demanding surveying applications:

  • It includes a built-in transmit/receive UHF radio as standard, enabling the ultimate flexibility for rover or base operation.
  • The internal NTRIP caster provides customized access to base station corrections via the Internet.

Trimble’s exclusive Web UITM eliminates travel requirements for routine monitoring of base station receivers. Now you can assess the health and status of base receivers and perform remote configurations from the office. Likewise, you can download post-processing data through Web UI and save additional trips out to the field.

The Trimble Tablet Rugged PC was introduced at Dimensions 2009. The Trimble Tablet offers surveyors the best of both worlds: the toughness and portability of a field controller, plus the operating power and larger interface of a laptop.

Currently, the Trimble Tablet is optimized for use with Trimble Survey Manager™ for Tablet PC field software, plus a wide range of software applications that users could normally only run on an office PC.

Note: Trimble Survey Manager for Tablet PC 2.65 will support the Trimble Tablet controller. This version will be available as a Web download in March 2009.
