Trimble Tablet Now Runs Trimble Access for Integrated Surveying

The Trimble Tablet combines the toughness and portability of a field controller with the operating power and larger interface of a laptop. We are therefore pleased to now make the Trimble Tablet available running Trimble Access for Integrated Surveying.

With its bright 7-in touch screen and powerful processing capabilities, the Trimble Tablet is especially ideal for surveyors who rely on visual data such as full-size background maps, or who require complex computations in the field. Other features include:

• Windows 7 Operating System
• Two integrated cameras with video capability
• Integrated GPS for navigation and geotagging photos

Used with a range pole bracket with radio, the Trimble Tablet is the most powerful controller available for surveying.

A Uniquely Featured Combination of Software and Controller

Surveyors using Trimble Access on the Trimble Tablet can perform tasks not available with other controllers. For example, volume calculations can be performed in the field and delivered to a client without travelling back to the office.

Trimble CU Controller Optimized for Trimble Access

Surveyors who appreciate the hands-free operation of the attachable Trimble CU Controller can also enjoy the enhanced workflows and more of Trimble Access software.

The latest version of the Trimble CU offers more power and a brighter screen, but retains its easy attachment to both total stations and range poles. Optimized for Trimble Access, the Trimble CU runs the Windows CE.Net Operating System.

Update: Trimble Business Center 2.40

Trimble Business Center 2.40 offers the following new features and enhancements:

New Trimble 4D Control offering

Trimble 4D Control Software retains the scalable approach that makes it easy for surveyors to get started in monitoring, plus adds new options for even more versatility:

• A new Web module puts users in control of their monitoring system wherever they are: The new Web Module provides remote and distributed access to Trimble 4D Control from virtually any location worldwide via the Internet. It centralizes multiple monitoring sites into one dedicated control room, or simply enables access to the system within an organization. It can also connect up to four user-defined internal or external links enabling direct access to on-site Webcams or weather station results.
• Geotechnical sensor support enables the addition of more comprehensive data about monitored sites:  Geotechnical sensors provide measurements of non-georeferenced movements and pressures in a monitored structure or rock face. Sensors such as piezometers and tilt meters can be combined with GNSS and optical total stations as fully integrated parts of the Trimble 4D Control solution.

Trimble FX and Trimble CX 3D Scanners Available through Survey Division

The Trimble FX and CX 3D Scanners provide specific scanning solutions in civil survey applications such as tunnel and bridge surveying, facade documentation, archeological recording, accident investigation, building information modeling (BIM), and more. Each scanner exhibits a unique set of features that allows precise and controlled data capture to suit your processing and deliverable requirements.

Customers can experience Trimble CX instrument's WAVEPULSE™ technology for high precision measurement over the entire operating range, or take advantage of the Trimble FX instrument's ability to capture clean high resolution data at high speeds when on-site time constraints are a concern.

Update: Trimble VRS³Net App 1.2

Version 1.2 of Trimble VRS³Net App, formerly known as Trimble VRS³Net software, is now available. This significant update includes:

• Support for the new Trimble NetR9 GNSS reference receiver series
• Galileo support
• Rover integrity and atmosphere calculation
• Multiple enhancements to existing functionality

  New: Trimble Atmosphere App

The Trimble Atmosphere App is new software based on the VRS³Net platform. This software extracts Total Electron Content (TEC) and Integrated Precipitable Water Vapor (IPWV) information from GNSS data along with meteorological sensor data. The resulting information is then graphically displayed in charts, contour maps, and surface maps.

The Atmosphere App includes the Trimble Web Application Advanced, which enables users to display atmospheric condition information in interactive views on the Web. You can use simple charts or more complex diagrams, including detailed animations of IPWV information over a selected time period.
